Yvonne C. (Dimitriadis) Morin, the beloved wife of Normand L. Morin and Lowell resident, died unexpectedly on Friday May 2, 2014 at the Lowell General Hospital, Saints Campus. She was 70.
Yvonne was born in Tewksbury on February 1, 1944, a daughter of the late Albert P. and Ruth C. (Bunker) Dimitriadis. She grew up on Nutting Lake in Billerica prior to her marriage to Normand on February 17, 1961 and moving to Lowell.
Yvonne enjoyed her garden and all of her plants and flowers. She liked scrapbooking, genealogy, and yard sales. Yvonne cherished spending time with Normand and looked forward to the spring to plant their flowers and vegetables together. She loved the holidays and decorating for them. Yvonne was fond of shopping especially for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed the White Mountains and Salisbury Beach. Yvonne also cherished her ball room dancing days at the former Commodore with Normand.
Family was paramount to Yvonne and treasured the time she spent with them, above all the time with her grandchildren.
Yvonne had an outgoing personality. She was compassionate and funny, always thoughtful and thinking of others. In a nutshell she was "The Best Mom in The World".
Surviving her besides her husband of 53 years are her five children, Ruthann Morin and her companion Charlie Barber of Dracut, Normand Morin of Dracut, Joseph Morin and Ginny Williams of Lowell, John and Patti Morin of Lowell, David and Brenda Morin of Lowell; seven grandchildren, John Moses, Stephen Morin, Michael Morin, Normand Morin, Ashley Rivard, Kyle Gath, Isabella Morin; five great grandchildren, Arianna Morin, Ryan Morin, Noah Morin, Annie Rivard, Ella Moses, and a soon to be great grandson. She was also the sister of the late Lenny Dimitriadis.
