LOWELL – Yvonne (Letendre) McKinnon, 88, a longtime resident of Lowell
died Saturday, April 8, 2017 at D'Youville Senior Care in Lowell. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred R. McKinnon, who died in 1995.
She was born in Lowell on January 1, 1929, and was daughter of the late Pierre and Hedwidge (Lanseigne) Letendre. She received her education in Lowell schools.
At a young age Yvonne worked for many years as a battery hand at Newmarket Mills in
Lowell. After she and Alfred began their family, she spent her days tending to their needs and the needs of their home.
She was a communicant of St. Rita's Church in Lowell and a former communicant of the former St. Jean Baptiste Church in Lowell.
Yvonne's greatest joy in life came from spending time in the company of her loving family.
She is survived by her two sons, Felix P. McKinnon and his wife Susan L. of Londonderry N.H. and Albert G. McKinnon and his wife Paula S. of Methuen; two grandchildren, Joshua P. McKinnon and his wife Katherine and Amanda K. McKinnon, all of Methuen. She is also survived by her step-granddaughter Debra Borelli of Derry, NH, two brothers, Gerard Letendre of Lowell and Armand Letendre and his wife Jeannette of Nashua, N.H. a sister Irene Carbonneau of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Wilfred Letendre and Exilia Bastein.
