Obituary
DRACUT - Yvonne "Honey" (Morin) Martin, a Dracut resident, passed away March 4, 2006 at her home surrounded by her children. She was 62 years old. She was the beloved wife of Antonio "Tony" Martin with whom she celebrated their 43 wedding anniversary on February 23, 2006.
Yvonne was born in Dracut on September 4, 1943 a daughter of the late Peter Morin and Mabel (Harbour) Morin, a resident of the Fairhaven Nursing Home in Lowell who survives her. She was a graduate of Dracut Senior High School and a communicant of Ste. Therese Church in Dracut.
She was a wonderful lifelong homemaker to her husband and a dedicated mother to her 4 children. Stricken by illness she fought an astounding course of treatments while never looking back. She was an avid gardener, loved to cook at home, and greatly enjoyed crocheting.
She was an extraordinarily strong woman who endured many trials and tribulations. She will be sadly missed by all those who were fortunate enough to have been blessed by simply knowing the wonderful person she was.
Her greatest enjoyment was her 9 grandchildren who affectionately called her "Memere Honey". They are Tucker, Brock and Roscoe of Dracut, Meghan and TJ of Windham, NH, Kayleigh and Abbey of Nasua, NH, and Brittany and Russell of Lowell.
In addition to her husband, mother and grandchildren, Mrs. Martin is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David and Joanne Martin of Dracut; three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Robert Caveney of Windham, NH, Christine and Michael Rancourt of Nashua, NH and Joanne and Russell Hamel of Lowell; a sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Steve Straughan of Pelham, NH; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Claire Morin of Pelham, NH; also many nieces and nephews.
