Concord, NH - Yvette (Brissette) Shannon, 87, widow of Francis Shannon, who died in December, 1968, died suddenly Saturday, June 5th, at the Concord Hospital, in Concord, NH.
Surviving her are an only daughter, Elaine LaCroix of Chelmsford, a beloved granddaughter and her husband, Danielle and Daniel Meserve, and three great grandchildren, Nicholas, Timothy and Katelyn Shannon Meserve, all of Penacook, NH. She also leaves several nieces and a nephew.
She was born June 19, 1916, a daughter of Philias and Adelina (Michaud) Brissette and was the last surviving member of the very large Brissette family of Lowell. She was predeceased by a brother, Edward, and sisters Leda, Courana, Diana, Irene, Anita, and Dolores.
She had served as a Foster Grandparent at the Pawtucket House in Lowell for over 20 years. Prior to that, she worked as an operating room aide at St. Joseph's Hospital.
For over 25 years, she lived at Jaycee Place on Bowers Street in Lowell, but during the past several months she resided at the Granite Ledges Assisted Living Residence in Concord, NH.
