Yvette (Langlais) Marcotte, beloved wife of the late Lucien A. Marcotte, a Lowell resident, died on Monday, January 4, 2016, at the Greenbriar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 87.
Born in Lowell on August 30, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Emile and Philomene (Beland) Langlais.
Yvette resided in Highlands section of Lowell for many years. She was a communicant of the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Parish prior to it's closing.
Yvette was a member of AARP. She enjoyed walking daily with her group of friends at the Pheasant Lane Mall. Yvette also enjoyed her quiet time reading. Family was the most important part of life for Yvette. She cherished just spending time with all of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and siblings.
Yvette's family would like to thank everyone at Home Health & Hospice Care for the exceptional care given to Yvette in her last days.
Survivors include her five children and their spouses, Rachel and James Frost of Nashua, NH, Denise Vieira and her partner Richard Marchand of Lowell, Joseph Marcotte of North Hollywood, CA, Richard and Kerry Marcotte of Georgetown, TX, Robert and Janice Marcotte Agoura Hills, CA; fifteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a brother Paul Langlais of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Michael and David Marcotte, and sister of the late Raymond Langlais, Irene Langlais and Annette Geoffroy.
