Wilma Mello

Wilma (Mourad) Mello, 90, of Dracut, entered into rest Monday June 15, 2009 at the Boston Medical Center, after a brief illness, surrounded by her family.

Born in Springfield, Ohio on March 6, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Morse and Jessie Mourad.

She retired after working for many years at the Lowell Gas Company.

"Nanny" as she was affectionately referred to by family and friends, was truly a giving person. She spent a majority of her time "doing" for her family and took excellent care of her precious dog, Lexy. Her warm and gentle nature will be dearly missed.

Survivors include a son, Charles C. Mello and his wife, Gayle of Cranston, RI; a daughter, Gail H. Cunningham of Pelham, NH; five grandchildren and their spouses, Kendrick S. Cunningham and his wife, Blanch of Nashua, NH, Kerry G. Gauthier, with whom she resided, of Dracut, Sean D. Cunningham and his wife Matina of Pelham, NH, Nichole L. Gerace and her husband, Geoff of Hudson, NH, Stephanie Mello of Los Angeles, CA; nine great grandchildren, Jared, Janae' and Justin Gauthier, Kendra, Haley and Darrah Gerace, Jacob, Olivia and Ethan Cunningham; and three nephews.
