Willis C. "Bill" Gendreau, II, a resident of Dracut, died with his family by his side on Monday June 17, 2013, at the Lowell General Hospital. He was 68.
Bill was born in Alexandria, VA on July 28, 1944, a son of the late Willis C. and Dorothy (Medina) Gendreau. He was educated locally and was employed as a power plant engineer.
Bill was an eclectic man. He was well read and often had three newspapers with him for his daily reading.
Bill enjoyed golfing, and was always tinkering with his clubs. He would hit the links when he felt they were modified just enough.
Bill enjoyed karaoke, his family called him the "Karaoke King" as he visited many establishments throughout the area. He would often visit the beach, especially in Maine. His family remembers that he was also an avid collector.
Survivors include his daughter and son in law, Karen A. and Thomas O'Brien of Kissimmee, FL; a son and daughter in law, Kenneth W. and Melissa Gendreau of Dracut; a brother and sister in law, Richard and Ellen Gendreau of Westford; four grandchildren, Vinny Shepard, Mikey Shepard, Kenneth Gendreau and Ryan Gendreau; a nephew Matthew Gendreau and a niece Laura Bouchard.
