William F. Voutirista

LOWELL - William F. Voutirista, 69, a resident of the Highlands section of Lowell, died Monday, December 29, 2008 at the Lowell General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Nancy C. (Mellen) Voutirista.
Born in Cambridge on September 4, 1939, he was a son of the late Robert and Agatha (Andrews) Voutirista.
Mr. Voutarista served with the United States Army and Army reserves from 1960 until 1984, his enlistment running through the period of the Vietnam War.
He retired from the Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, but had been previously employed as a printer by the Shawprint Company, formerly located on Chelmsford Street in Lowell.
In addition to his wife he is survived by four children, Bonnie Hughes, Tammy Voutirista, Danny Voutirista and Eddie Voutirista; seven step children, Sharon Cortez and her husband John, James Kriemer and his wife Joyce, Joyce Martin and her husband Mark, Robert Reno, Jr., Leo Reno and his wife Charlene, Ruth Reno and Nancy Reno; ten grandchildren, among whom are Dennis Plouffe and his wife Jenny and Christopher Plouffe and his wife Sara; two great grandchildren.
