William M. “Bill” Tryon, age 75, died at Tufts Medical Center on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Mary E. (Kulis) Tryon, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage.
He was born in Lowell on December 23, 1948 and was the son of the late Lorraine (Morris) and Robert Tryon. Prior to his retirement, Bill worked for 50 years as a pressman Media Specialist for Raytheon.
Bill was an avid New England Sports fan, especially the New England Patriots, whom him and Mary enjoyed their years of being season ticket holders together. Mary and Bill also enjoyed their frequent trips to Aruba, which he loved dearly.
In his younger years, he played in the Dracut softball league and the hockey league for Raytheon, always keeping active. In his later years, he still enjoyed staying active and took great pride and joy in keeping his yard and lawn looking pristine.
In addition to his wife, Mary Bill is survived by his two children, Christopher Tryon and his wife, Tracy of Hampton, NH and Lorrie Tryon of Dracut; his three grandchildren, Cameron and Connor O’Brien and Jordan Tryon; his sister, Linda Murphy and her husband, Fred of Texas; his brother and sister in laws, Joe and Anne Kulis, Bill and Maryanne Kulis, Nancy and Elliott Waller, Karen and Jake Quinn, Ed and Linda Kulis, Dave and Sandy Kulis and Tim Kulis; as well as many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was the brother of the late Steve and Bob Tryon.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bill’s Life Celebration on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 4 until 7 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM at St. Francis Church, Dracut. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill’s memory to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
