William P. "Mick" McManus

Lowell – William P. "Mick" McManus, age 66, died unexpectedly on Tuesday January 1, 2013 at his Lowell residence.
He was born in Lynn on October 27, 1946 a son of the late Francis and Ruth (Connors) McManus.
Mick was educated in Lowell schools. Upon graduation from Lowell High School he enlisted in the Marines. He served tours in Vietnam with the rank of Corporal where he received a Purple Heart.
When Mick was discharged from the Marines he began a career as a machine operator for Ideal Tape. He retired after more than 35 years of employment.
Mick enjoyed going to the beach but, most of all he looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Micah and Valerie McManus of Lowell; a daughter Melissa McManus of Lowell; eleven grandchildren, Corey, John, Cassidy, Dayme, Randy, Raymie, Micalie, Devin, Christian, Fernando and Angel "Baby Kevin"; and his best friend of 19 years, Lu.
