William J. Manchenton

William J. Manchenton, Sr., a longtime Lowell resident, beloved husband of Claudette (Rochette) Manchenton, died Wednesday July 15, 2009 at the Lowell General Hospital. He was 78.
Born in Lowell on November 28, 1930, he was a son of the late Edward and Anne (Deny) Manchenton.
Bill worked for more than 40 years as a truck driver for Interstate Container of Lowell and was a member of Teamsters Local 49. He was a communicant of the former Ste. Jeanne D'Arc Church and recently of St. Michael Church. He was an active member in the Lowell Senior Citizens, Dracut Senior Citizens and the Centralville Senior Citizens clubs.
He enjoyed ballroom dancing, line dancing, camping and traveling.
Besides his wife, he is survived by, four children, Sandra Daigneault and her husband, Daniel of Groton, William Manchenton, Jr. and his wife, Molly of Lowell, Edward Manchenton and his wife, Deborah of North Andover, Jason Manchenton and his wife, Michelle of Stoneham; a son- in- law, Raymond Millette of Manchester, NH; a sister, Anna Lisien of Seabrook, NH; eight grandchildren, Christine Millette, Rayna Terrell and her husband, Robert, Danielle Hurley and her husband, William, Laura Gomez and her husband, Rob, Leslie Hodgen and her husband, Nicholas, Brian Manchenton, Caitlin Cote and her husband, Nathaniel, Liam Manchenton; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Patricia Millette and the brother of the late Daniel, John and Edward Manchenton.
