William H. 'Billy" Lyons

May 1, 1947 — January 31, 2022

Williams Henry (Billy) Lyons was to born in Philadelphia Pa to deceased father(1961) Henry Lyons and his deceased mother(2020) Martina(Roberts) Lyons on May 1st 1947. Billy was blessed with a step-father Elijah Moss who preceded in death in 2012.
He was educated through Philadelphia Roman Catholic Archdioceses where he attended parochial school. He received his sacraments and was baptized at St. Elizabeth Parochial School along with his two sisters by Father McHale.
Billy married his long time special friend a companion that lasted over 30 years but his wife for 5 years Kathy (Brogan) Lyons.
"Billy" as he was fondly know by was all his friends and family was one precocious child. He was always surrounded by family including a large amount of cousins that seemed like an extended family of siblings. He was known as the prankster, jokester, and just making all of them laugh uncontrollably but the laughter and memories of those days still are quiet memorable by all until this day. Billy was a lover of sports, multiple outdoor adventures and a true lover of good food. The love of sports stayed rooted for his Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies although he moved from Philadelphia to Lowell Massachusetts since the age of 17. He moved with his best friend and sister Martina "Tootsie Smith.
He was always well known for his cooking Billy love to please you and delight you with his culinary skills especially grilling and all who have taste it definitely agreed he had a skill with the "que". But no doubt his real love was having everyone at the table together in love inharmony and just enjoying life moments. Many might say he was a light to any room ones he gets started. His laughter was unique, unrepeatable and contagious and known by all! When he laughed he would just laugh with his whole soul and you had no choice but to laugh right with him. So many of us tried to imitate his laugh but never come close. Truly one of a kind!
Billy had multiple talents and skills in his career. He was definitely Martina and Henry's son! Multiple lifelong skills with constructing, building, cooking, with an entrepreneur grit that kept him always making a way for him and those he loved. He was truly a survivor at heart!
Billy's life could not be honored and celebrated without his amazing children.

Billy had 25 beautiful  grandchildren, He had 5 sisters and brothers Martina Smith (deceased), Beverly Johnson( Perry Johnson(deceased), Bryant Earl Lyons( Michelle Lyons),Sherry Williams(Wallace Dennis Williams), Yvette Lyons( Kevin Thomas). Billy also had two step brothers Gary Moss(deceased) and Donald Moss. He had 4 sister in laws, and 3 Brother in laws. Mother in Law and Father in Law preceded in death.
Billy has 3 aunts and 1 uncle that are still gracing this earth. There are so many devoted family and friends that kept him full of love until his end. A host of  nieces, nephews from Massachusetts to Philadelphia. Loving friends from all over that his laughter and love made a special imprint on their lives.
Relatives and friends are invited to Billy's Life Celebration on Monday, Feb. 7, from 2 until 5 PM. Services at 5 PM will conclude the visitation.
