DRACUT - William C. Bowers, Jr., 48, a resident of Dracut, died unexpectedly on Saturday morning, April 19, 2008 at the Lowell General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Anne F. (Lepine) Bowers, with whom he was married for 26 years.
Born in Cambridge on December 19, 1959, he was a son of the late Janice (Lane) Bowers and William C. Bowers, Sr. of Salem, NH who survives him.
Mr. Bowers received his education in Tewksbury and was a graduate of Tewksbury High School.
He was employed by the E.N. Roger's Memorial Veteran's Hospital in Bedford as housekeeping supervisor.
He was a communicant of St. Michael Church.
Mr. Bowers gave generously of his time to others, whether it be visiting a patient at the VA Hospital who otherwise would have no visitors, or giving a fellow employee a ride to work who would have had to walk.
He was extremely close to his and his wife's family and could always be called upon to help with a move, aid with clothing or groceries, or play Santa Claus and distribute presents.
In addition to his wife and father he leaves his two sons, Matthew W. Bowers, a student at the Englesby School in Dracut and Timothy R. Bowers, a student at the Brookside School in Dracut; a sister, Janice Price of Salem, NH; three brothers, Robert Bowers and his wife Gayle of Tewksbury, Sean Bowers of SC and Alan Bowers and his wife Susan of Melrose; his mother-in-law, Marilyn Lepine of Lowell; he also leaves his dear brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, several Godchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was a son-in-law of the late Roland Lepine.
