DRACUT - William Joseph Boutin, age 91, a longtime resident of Dracut died Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Felice A. "Phyllis" (Peretti) Boutin, to whom he has been married for 69 years.
He was born in Dracut on July 2, 1929, and was a son of the late Joseph and Celia (Sicard) Boutin. He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Lowell.
William served his country in the United States Army during World War II and then reenlisted and served during the Korean War.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed for many years as a metal fabricator by C.R. Bard in Wilmington.
William was an avid collector of military memorabilia. His greatest joy was spending time in the company of his loving family, especially his adoring grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Lori Boutin of Atkinson, NH; his daughter, Linda Boutin (Noel) of Clearwater, FL; five grandchildren, Mark Boutin, Bryan Boutin and his wife Jill, Steven Boutin and his wife Victoria, Rick Morin and his wife Kerri, and Ryan Wilbur; eight great grandchildren, Bryan Boutin, Jr., William Smith, Shayna Boutin, Calandra Boutin, Molly Boutin, Wyatt Wilbur, Julian Morin, and Maverick Boutin; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Raymond Boutin, Alfred Boutin, Maurice Boutin, Andrew Boutin, Laura Neveux, Arlene Poladoris, Irene Gagnon and Lorraine Boisvert.
William's family would like to thank the staff of the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill for the care and compassion that was given to him and the family during his stay there.
It being his wish, there will be no visitation and burial will be private in St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in William's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
