Wilfredo Jimenez, de 78 años, falleció inesperadamente después de una breve enfermedad el miércoles 4 de marzo de 2026 en Tufts Medical Center. Fue el amado esposo de Aida I. Delgado, con quien estuvo casado durante 48 años.

Nació el 23 de marzo de 1947 en San Germán, Puerto Rico, y fue hijo de los fallecidos Julia (Santiago) y Thomas Jimenez.

Wilfredo era un ávido fanático de los Red Sox y de todo lo relacionado con el béisbol y los equipos de Nueva Inglaterra. Era conocido como el campeón del dominó y disfrutaba de la jardinería en el verano, de ver las noticias y películas de acción, de la música, y de cantar y bailar.

Por encima de todo, su familia era lo más importante en su vida y para ellos él era su #1 “manitas” para arreglar todo.

Además de su esposa, Aida, a Wilfredo le sobreviven sus hijos, Wilfredo Jimenez, Jr. y Aida Marti; sus nietos, Leanah, Melinah, Aliah y Jeo; sus bisnietos, Valentina y Luca; sus hermanos, Justo y Eddie Vega; sus hermanas, Alida Vega, Mary Elaine Jimenez y Edna Jimenez; sus sobrinos y sobrinas, Melvin, Maried, Edmari, Yosi y Emmanuel; así como muchos familiares extendidos y amigos.

Le precedieron en la muerte su hermana, Elba Iris Jimenez, y su sobrino, Alexis Vasquez.

Se invita a familiares y amigos a asistir a la Celebración de Vida de Wilfredo el domingo 15 de marzo de 2026 de 1 a 4 PM en McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. Su servicio fúnebre se llevará a cabo el lunes a las 10 AM en la funeraria. El entierro seguirá en el cementerio St. Patrick, Lowell.


Wilfredo Jimenez, age 78, died unexpectedly after a brief illness on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Tufts Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Aida I. Delgado, with whom he was married to for 48 years.

He was born on March 23, 1947 in San German, Puerto Rico and was the son of the late Julia (Santiago) and Thomas Jimenez.

Wilfredo was an avid fan of the Red Sox and all things baseball and New England teams. He was known as the Domino champ and enjoyed gardening in the summertime, watching the news and action movies and music, singing and dancing.

Above anything else, his family was the utmost important thing in his life and to them he was their #1 handyman.

In addition to his wife, Aida, Wilfredo is survived by his children, Wilfredo Jimenez, Jr. and Aida Marti; his grandchildren, Leanah, Melinah, Aliah and Jeo; his great-grandchildren, Valentina and Luca; his brothers, Justo and Eddie Vega; his sisters, Alida Vega, Mary Elaine Jimenez and Edna Jimenez; his nieces and nephews, Melvin, Maried, Edmari, Yosi and Emmanuel; as well as many extended family and friends.

He is predeceased by his sister, Elba Iris Jimenez and his nephew, Alexis Vasquez.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Wilfredo’s Life Celebration on Sunday, March 15, 2026 from 1 until 4 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. His funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 AM in the funeral home. Burial to follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
