Virginia L.(Crowell) Mailhot, 80, a longtime Nashua resident and a former resident of Lowell, MA, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011. She was the wife of the late Maurice Mailhot who predeceased her in August of 1980.
Virginia was born in Lowell on May 21, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Elmer G. and Arlene P. (Hall) Crowell.
For over thirty-five years, Virginia, also known as Gina to her friends ,worked as a Supervisor for the IRS. Since her retirement she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends. She never missed her weekly trips to the Chelmsford Senior Center to play BINGO. Above all, what brought "Mem" the greatest happiness, was spending time with her loving family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Michael Mailhot; a daughter, Carol Woods and her husband, Edward Woods; her four grandchildren Brenda Woods, Rebekah Barker, Joel Woods and Loree Woods-DeVinney; her four great-grandchildren Abigail, Colin, Nolan Barker, and Brayden Woods; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Elmer Crowell, Marian Valkavich and Shirley Nelson.
