Viola McLain

PELHAM, NH - Viola (Mondazzi) McLain, 87, a resident of Pelham, NH for over 50 years, died Friday, January 5, 2007 at her home. She was the wife of the late Philip J. McLain.
Born in Chelmsford on March 12, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Angelina (DiRocco) Mondazzi.
Mrs. McLain was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Pelham for many years.
She lived a wonderful life, and was loved by many people.
She is survived by her son, Philip J. McLain Jr. and his wife Janet of Pelham, NH; her daughter, Karen Pitts and her husband Harold J. of Hampstead, NC; three sisters, Rita Brown of Lowell, Rose Lessard and her husband Frank of Pelham, NH and Hilda Descoteaux and her husband Albert of Nashua, NH; six grandchildren, Donald Sturtevant and his wife Joanne of Dracut, Darren Sturtevant of Pelham, NH, Kim Campbell of Dracut, Ronald Pitts of Greensboro, NC, Jeffrey W. Pitts and his wife Lauren of Hampstead, NC, Jennifer (Pitts) Slusher of Wilmington, NC; seven great grandchildren, Leia, Kelsey, Paige, Kyley and Niles Sturtevant, Trevor and Jared Campbell; also several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Joan M. Sturtevant, grandmother of the late Scott J. McLain and sister of the late Albert and Joseph Mondazzi, Adele Kane and Mary Lambert. She leaves her former granddaughter by marriage, Lisa Macenas of Litchfield, NH. She also leaves a dear friend, Gert Sims of Dracut.
