Vincent James "Vinny" Russo

March 20, 1950 — February 8, 2022

DRACUT - Vincent James "Vinny" Russo, Jr., age 71, a resident of Dracut died Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Lowell General Hospital following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Linda A. (MonBleau) Russo, to whom he was married for 46 years.

He was born in Winthrop, MA on March 20, 1950, and was a son of the late Vincent James Russo, Sr. and Mary Rose (Pinieri) Russo. He was a graduate of Boston Trade School.

Prior to his illness, Vinny was employed for 21 years as a school bus monitor by Trombly Motor Coach in Dracut. Earlier in his career he worked in the warehouses at Stride Rite, formerly in Roxbury for 30 years and at KMart in Billerica for 14 years.

He was an avid sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and New York Giants. He also enjoyed going to the horse races, playing Keno, and spending Saturdays enjoying a Boot Mill sandwich at Arthur's Paradise Diner in Lowell. Above all Vinny cherished his time spent in the company of his loving family, especially is adoring grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Vinny is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Ann (Russo) and Anthony Pollari of Lowell; his son, Robert James Russo and his fiancée Courtney Beaton of Lowell; four grandchildren, Autumn, Austin, Mackenzie and Anthony; a brother, Richard Paul Russo, Sr. and his wife Irene of Tewksbury; two sisters, Janice Klier and her husband Kevin of Dracut and Joanne Zeoli of Lowell; a sister-in-law, Pauline Welch and her husband George of Dracut; and several nieces, nephews, and close friends.

He was also the brother-in-law of the late Frank Zeoli, Sr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Vinny's Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Monday, February 14th from 4:00 until 8:00pm. His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 15th at 10:00am at the funeral home. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery in Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vinny's memory the the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
