Victor A. Dion, 82, a Dracut resident, died Wednesday April 20, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Eleanore A. (Dubois) Dion of Dracut with whom he celebrated sixty two years of marriage this year.
Born in Lowell on January 8, 1929, he was a son of the late Frank X. and Agnes (Hamel) Dion.
Victor attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School class of 1946.
Vic was employed for many years as a carpenter by Baystate Structure. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 111. Vic was a very talented carpenter and can be credited with building three homes with his brothers, including the home where he has lived for the past forty years.
He was a faith filled man and was a communicant of St. Michael Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Roger V. Dion and his wife, Irene of Davenport, FL, Barry E. Dion of Dracut, Frank N. Dion of Dracut; a daughter, Nancy E. Maille and her husband, Robert of Davenport, FL; three sisters-in-law, Anita Dion of CA, Doris Dion of Dracut and Dolores Dion of Lowell; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
He was a brother of the late Roger C. Dion, Bernard F. Dion, Robert T. Dion and Norman L. Dion.
