Thomas J. McGrath, 85, long time resident of Dracut, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, died unexpectedly on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Lowell General Hospital.
Husband of Estelle M. (Dorval) McGrath for 64 years.
Born in Lowell, MA on January 16, 1927, son of the late Raymond McGrath and Blanche (Belanger) (McGrath) Caron.
A veteran, he served in the United States Navy for two years (1944 – 1946) during WWII aboard the USS Macomb (DD-458).
Worked at the Faulkner Mills in North Billerica, MA for over 40 years until his retirement; he had also worked part-time at the Rockingham Race Track for many years. He was an active member of the St. Francis Parish in Dracut, and enjoyed reading the newspaper, playing the lottery, and watching the Red Sox.

McGrath and Leroy Stallcop of Highland, CA, and Pamela S. Laorenza and David of Dracut, MA. A son and daughter-in-law; Raymond T. McGrath and Wendy of Groveland, MA. Grandchildren; Benjamin W. Hardy and Jennifer of Hudson, NH, Melissa J. Hardy and Richard Farrell of Milford, NH, Adam C. McGrath and Terri Christopher of Cambridge, MA, Jared T. McGrath of Methuen, MA, Angela R. McGrath of Groveland, MA, Joshua M. Fay of Methuen, Justin M. Fay and Heather of Methuen, MA, Matthew T. Nicolosi and Stefanie J. Nicolosi both of North Miami, FL and Dominic J. Laorenza of Dracut, MA. Great-grandchildren; Kyah J. Hardy and Madalyn G. Hardy both of Hudson, NH and Aidan H. Farrell of Milford, NH. Sisters; Mary (McGrath) Farias of Lowell, MA and Florence (McGrath) Cochran of Dysort, IA. Brother; Jack McGrath. Mr. McGrath was predeceased by his brother Norman McGrath and granddaughter Allison D. McGrath.
