Lowell - Thomas J. Gray, 77, husband of Joan E. (Lamphier) Gray, a resident of Centralville, died Sunday June 6, 2004 in a local nursing home.
Born in Lowell on June 22, 1926, he was a son of the late Patrick and Yvonne (Devillier) Gray. He received his education in local schools and Dracut High School.
Prior to retirement, Thomas had been employed as a machinist with the Southwell Combing in North Chelmsford and the Boott Mills of Lowell.
A Veteran of World War II, he served as a Tech 5 with the U.S. Army.
Surviving him beside his wife with whom he would have celebrated 53 years of marriage on July 1, are a brother and his wife, James and Barbara Gray of Hollis, NH; three sisters, Rita Agrella of Lowell, Catherine Moge of Ashby and Mary Gray of Lowell; also several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Rose Denmore.
