Obituary
LOWELL - Thomas A. Golden Sr., 68, a Lowell resident, died Saturday, August 6, 2005 at the Lowell General Hospital. He was the fianc�e of Louise N. Gill of Lowell.
Born in Lowell on January 29, 1937, he was a son of the late Francis X. and Margaret M. (Bowery) Golden Sr.
Upon graduating from Lowell High School in 1955, Mr. Golden enlisted with the United States Air Force and served for four years.
He was a lifelong member of St. Michael Parish and was a member of the East End Club.
Mr. Golden retired from the City of Lowell Water Department on July 1, 1998 as Chief Foreman of Distribution.
He spent his summers in Dennisport, Cape Cod and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his fianc�e he is survived by two daughters, Karen A. Golden of Lowell and Eileen K. "Lee" Trott and her husband Kenneth C. Trott Jr. of Lowell; a son, Thomas A. "Tipa" Golden Jr. and his wife Joane (Sheehan) Golden of Lowell; a sister, Mary R. Beck and her husband Charles Beck of Dracut; a brother, Bernard B. Golden and his wife Maureen (Desrochers) Golden of Pelham, NH; two brothers-in-law, Raymond J. Poitras of Lowell and Roland Doucette of Lowell; three grandchildren, Kenneth C. Trott III, Sean T. Trott and Abigail M. Golden, all of Lowell; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews. He was the father of the late Mary Beth Golden; brother of the late Francis X. "Buddy" Golden Jr., Margaret F. "Peggy" Poitras, Rosalie M. "Tootsie" Nugent and Eileen A. Doucette; brother-in-law of the late George N. Nugent Sr. He was the former husband of Eileen C. (Rourke) Golden of Lowell.
