Thomas J. Carey, a resident of Tyngsboro, formerly of Dracut, died unexpectedly on Friday, September 11, 2015, at the Tufts New England Medical Center with his family by his side. He was 29.
Born in Lowell on May 11, 1986, he is survived by his mother Kathleen P. (Frawley) Doyle of Dracut and his father Stephen A. Carey of Dracut. He was the stepson of James T. Doyle of Lowell and Connie Melanson of Dracut.
Tom was educated in Dracut until the sixth grade when he moved to Chelmsford. He enjoyed sports such as basketball, baseball and while in high school he played on the football and lacrosse teams. Upon graduation he attended Middlesex Community College.
Tom was employed in the sales department of Fastenal for many years.
Tom had an easy smile, a contagious laugh and a warm accepting personality. He enjoyed the company of his many friends and family.
Surviving him besides his parents and step parents are his sister and her husband, Kristina E. and Brian Kelly of Ridgefield, CT; a brother Darren M. Frawley of Dracut; aunts, Diane Boyd, Beth Morris both of Tewksbury, Joyce Dyer of Dracut, Marilyn Frawley who is also his Godmother of St. Petersburg FL., uncle, Joseph Frawley, Jr., of PA; many cousins including his Godfather Robert Dyer, Jr. and countless friends including Beau Landry of Lowell.
