Thomas C. Brady

LOWELL - Thomas C. Brady, 97, A son of the late Daniel Brady and Hannah (McCarty) Brady from County Clare, Ireland Tom was born in Lowell on February 19, 1920 and was a longtime resident of the Centralville section of the city. He received his education in the Lowell school system.

At the commencement of World War II Tom enlisted in the US Navy on January 12, 1942 and was honorably discharged on November 21, 1946. He served in the Tin Can Navy as a Boatswains Mate Second Class aboard the USS Forrest and USS Carpellotti. After seeing the world in support of Uncle Sam he received multiple stars for service in the European Theater and Pacific Theater. Tom was a proud patriot, veteran and true survivor of the Greatest Generation that ever lived.

Tom was always a hard worker and returned home to his job with Brady Boys Trucking and later retired from the City of Lowell as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
Of his many affiliations, he was a lifetime member of the Lowell Elks, VFW and East End Club.
Tom had many interests which included racing homing pigeons and he was an active member in area clubs throughout the Merrimack Valley.
Gramps will always be remembered as a devoted family man and friend. He was also proud of his Irish heritage and was always quick to tell a funny story or tale to those who were around him.

Gramps is survived by his children, Barbara Norwood, Orlando, FL, Particia Jusczak and her husband Thaddeus of Dracut, MA, Thomas Brady Jr and his wife Maryann of Dracut, MA, Daniel Brady and his partner Jane Farrow and her son Cameron of Winthrop, MA; Grandchildren, Tammy Jusczak, Timothy Jusczak and his partner Kerri Greenwood, Todd and Krissy Norwood, Stephen and Kim Brady, Kathryn and Peter Farrell; Great Grandchildren, Nicholas, Tyler, Cody, Colton, Jack, and Matthew.
Gramps also has many nieces, nephews and friends including his longtime companion Lucille Degarabedian.
He was also the brother of the late Hugh Brady, John Brady, Ellen Kane, Daniel Brady, Margaret Brady, Sarah Lappin, and Kathleen Baranow.
