Lowell – Therese L. (LaFrance) Trudel, beloved wife of the late Leo A. Trudel, a resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, died Saturday March 12, 2011 at the Lowell General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was 85.
Therese was born in Leominster on September 29, 1925, the daughter of the late Alphonse and Amanda (Blais) LaFrance.
Prior to her retirement, Therese was a stitcher at the former Lowell Dress Company. She was also a communicant of the former Ste. Jeanne d'Arc Parish and a member of the St. Anne's Sodality. Therese also held membership in the Ste. Jeanne d'Arc School PTA.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and playing cards.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Anne-Marie (Beland) of Hudson, NH; Donald R. and Suzanne (Marion) of Lowell; Marc E. and Karen (McAndrew) of Salem, NH; a daughter, Elaine Chandonnet, of Lowell; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Lorraine Trudel of Lowell and Gertrude St. Onge of Dracut; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Maurice and Theresa Trudel of Haverill; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was also the sister of the late Alphonse, Valere LaFrance and Emilia Bouchard.
