Therese S. (Duff) Perrin, 86, of Lowell formerly a longtime resident of Tyngsboro, died Wednesday July 6, 2011 after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of Ernest J. Perrin of Lowell, with whom she would have celebrated 65 years of marriage on July 27, 2011.
Born in Lowell on April 21, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Alpherie and Agnes (Rodrigue) Duff.
For many years, Therese was employed by the former Christian Hill Nursing Center of Lowell.
Therese was an excellent mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was always knitting and crocheting something special for those that she loved. She will always be remembered for her baking, in particular her celebratory cakes that her whole family looked forward to. She also had many fond memories of time spent at Hampton Beach with family.
Therese and her husband enjoyed membership at the Tyngsboro Senior Center.
Therese's family would like to recognize the wonderful and compassionate staff at Radius Northwood in Lowell that cared for her.
In addition to her husband, survivors include three sons, Leo Perrin and his wife, Terri with whom she resided for 24 years in Tyngsboro, Ernest P. Perrin and his wife, Monique of Lowell; Raymond Perrin of Lowell; four grandchildren, Amanda Simmons and her husband, Michael of Lunenburg, Jaclyn Fontaine and her husband, Leo of Attleboro, Heather Perrin of Lowell, Christopher Perrin of Lowell; four great grandchildren, Julia and Brody Simmons of Lunenburg, Yvette Fontaine of Attleboro, James Hill of Attleboro; three sisters, Yvette Landry of Dracut, Muriel Carter of CT, Estelle Gagnon of FL; a brother, Arthur Duff and his wife, Ouida of GA; a sister-in-law Therese Perrin of Lowell; a brother-in-law, Joe Sapolsky of CT; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Rita Maydole, Gene Duff, Marie Sapolsky, Claire Lamarre, Maurice Duff and Cecile Morin.
