Therese M. Barone

Therese M. (Gauthier) (Chmielewski) Barone, age 87, a longtime resident of Lowell died peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.  She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence J. Barone.

She was born in Lowell on February 11, 1935, and was a daughter of the late Henry and Mary Jane (Boisvert) Gauthier.  She received her education in Dracut schools.

In her free time, Therese enjoyed playing cards, going to the casinos with her husband, doing crafts and crocheting.

She was a former parishioner of St. Louis de France Church in Lowell.

Therese is survived by her two sons, William Chmielewski and Bruce Chmielewksi, both of Lowell; her daughter, Mary Daigneault and her husband David of Nashua, NH; four grandchildren, David Daigneault and his wife Barbara, Scott Daigneault and his wife Nancy, Chantelle Angove and her husband Larry and Gregg Chmielewksi and his wife Jennifer; nine great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; two sisters, Rita Minton of Lowell and Cecile Cloutier of FL; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Clair McCullough.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Therese’s Visitation at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Tuesday from 4:00 until 7:00pm.  Her Funeral Service will be on Wednesday at 10:30am at the funeral home.  Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
