Theresa Rose (Burke) Hall passed away at her home in Gardner, MA on September 18th, surrounded by her loving family. Theresa was born in Lowell, MA, the daughter of the late Christina and Edward Burke.
She was married to Simeon Hall Jr. for 35 years, who predeceased her on September 17, 1987. Together they raised 8 children, all who loved her and will deeply miss her.
Theresa lived in Lowell making a loving home for her family. She worked at Central Savings Bank, as well as Lowell General Hospital in the 1980’s before retiring. She was better known as Tresie, Grammy and Momma. She most recently lived in Gardner, MA with her daughter, Nancy Sullivan, husband, Mike Sullivan and her grandson Danny, whom she loved dearly. Danny brought so much joy to Mom’s life.
Tresie loved going to Foxwoods Casino with her sister, Mary Conroy, doing scratch tickets, playing with Danny, shopping and going out to Williams Restaurant. She made those around her happy. She found beauty in everyone she met and was the best Mom we could all ask for. Mom always put her children first and did everything she could for us over the years.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Mark Hall; sisters Eileen Dunn and Marion Moynihan and brothers William and Edward Burke. She is survived by her sister Mary Conroy. She leaves 5 daughters; Sandra Fowke and her husband Guy of Fitchburg, Kathleen Scott and her husband Brian of Scarborough, ME, Debra Hall and her husband Ricky Gritt of Ayer, Christine Gadoury and her husband Omer of Winchendon, Nancy Sullivan and her husband Mike of Gardner along with 2 sons; Erik Hall and his wife Sharon of Pelham, NH and Sid Hall of Gardner and a daughter-in-law Karen Hall of Lowell. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Theresa’s Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Thursday, September 22nd from 4:00 until 7:00pm. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 23rd at 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
