DRACUT - Theresa E. (St. Cyr) Prokos, age 89, a longtime resident of Dracut died Monday, June 18, 2018 at The Atrium in N. Chelmsford. She was the beloved wife of the late James J. Prokos, who died in 1976.
She was born in Dracut on December 9, 1928, and was a daughter of the late Alphage "Bill" and Lucianna (Rondeau) St. Cyr. She received her education in Dracut schools.
Prior to her retirement in 1994, Theresa was the owner and operator of Prokos Exxon in Lawrence, which she opened in the early 1960's with her husband James.
Earlier in life, she was employed as a seamstress by Lowell Lingerie.
Theresa was a longtime member of the Lowell Assembly of God Church in Tewksbury.
Her greatest joy came from spending time in the company of her loving family. She also enjoyed listening to local talk radio.
Theresa is survived by her three children, Donna Prokos and her husband Brian Lepine of Derry, NH, Karen White and her husband Jeffrey of Manchester, NH, and James Prokos and his wife Pamela of Daytona Beach, FL; nine grandchildren, Paul Lepine, Daniel Lepine, Lauren Rogers, Jenna White, Christopher O'Leary, Jaime O'Leary, James Prokos, Michael Prokos, and Sarah Prokos; ten great grandchildren, Sienna, Vincent, and Alessio Rogers, Mackenzie, Megan and Delaney O'Leary, Riley Prokos-Fouts, Ryan and Liam Palmer, Jared Prokos; a brother-in-law, Camille Geoffroy of Dracut; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Victor St. Cyr, Rita Geoffroy, and Doris Gosselin.
ARRANGEMENTS - Relatives and friends are invited to attend Theresa's Memorial Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Saturday from 2 until 4 PM followed by her Funeral Service at 4 PM at the funeral home.
