Theresa M. (Gauthier) "Mémère" Polizzotti

LOWELL- Theresa M. "Mémère" (Gauthier) Polizzotti, age 81, a resident of Lowell passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at her home.

She was born in Lowell on April 12, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Arthur P. Gauthier Jr. She was raised in Dracut by her beloved father and her grandfather, the late Arthur P. Gauthier Sr. She received her education in Dracut schools and was a graduate of Dracut High School.

Prior to her retirement from Washington Savings Bank, Theresa was employed for over 25 years in the banking industry.

She was a longtime member of the SAC Club in Lowell.

Theresa loved music and dancing, spending time in the sun, especially at Salisbury Beach, and hanging out with her cats, Salem, Sammy, and Peanut. Her greatest joy however, was time spent in the company of her loving family, especially her adoring grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Worthing and her husband Glenn of Lowell, Susan Cregg of Nashua, NH, and Pamela Polizzotti and her husband James Horton of Lowell; nine grandchildren, Theresa, Crystal, Nicole, Larry, James, Joshua, Christopher, Kaitlyn, and Kyle; three great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Adrianna, and Xander; a sister, Louise Daigle and her husband Charles of Dracut; several close cousins, nieces and nephews; and many longtime friends.

She was predeceased by her special aunts, Doris Giattino, Agnes Lemire, and Marie LaVoie.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Theresa's Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Tuesday, June 1st from 11:00am until 12:45pm followed by her Funeral Service at 12:45pm at the Funeral Home. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
