Theresa A. Patenaude

Theresa A. (Guilmette) Patenaude, age 78, a resident of Dracut died Friday, September 8, 2023 at Lowell General Hospital.  She was the beloved wife of the late Robert G. Patenaude who died in 1999.  

She was born in Lowell on April 21, 1945, and was a daughter of the late Joseph and Blanche (Brunelle) Guilmette.  She received her education in Lowell schools and graduated from St. Joseph High School.  She earned her LPN certification from Tewksbury Hospital School of Nursing and an RN Associates Degree at Middlesex Community College.  

Prior to her retirement Theresa was employed for many years as a registered nurse by the former St. John Hospital in Lowell. 

In her free time, she enjoyed volunteering at D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell, wintering in Florida, summer trips to the Maine seacoast, playing cards and games and luncheons with her former hospital colleagues. Her greatest joy however, was spending time in the company of her loving family. 

Theresa is survived by her two daughters, Michele Robbins and her husband William of Chelmsford and Donna Niven and her fiancé Paul Patti of Lowell; two grandchildren, Danielle Mirisola and her husband Michael of Billerica and Eric Robbins of Boston; her great granddaughter, Avery Mirisola; her sister, Denise Leclerc of Lowell; her nieces and nephews, Jim Leclerc and his wife Katie, Dave Leclerc and his wife Lyndsay, Patricia McIntire, Roberta St. Peter, Sheila Osko, Michael Wallace, Camille White and Gerald Patenaude; her sister in law Gertrude Patenaude, many grandnieces and grandnephews and many close friends.

She was also the sister-in-law of the late Jean Leclerc, Constance and Robert Wallace, and the aunt of the late Christine Leclerc.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Theresa’s  Funeral Service at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, 96 Riverneck Rd., Chelmsford on Thursday, September 14th at 11:00am.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Theresa’s memory to D’Youville Senior Care, 981 Varnum Avenue, Lowell 01854.
