Theresa P. McDowell

Theresa P. “Terry” McDowell, 76, a resident of Dracut, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 27, 2023 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late William E. McDowell, with whom she was married to for 50 years until his passing in 2017.

Born in Lowell on October 24, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Carmen (Valcourt) and Clifford Robinson, Sr..

Terry enjoyed gardening, antiquing and traveling. She was a member of the Dracut Roadrunner’s Car Club and shared the love of antique cars with her husband Bill.

Terry is survived by her son, James McDowell and his wife Christine of Hudson, NH; two grandchildren, Lauren and Liam McDowell of Hudson, NH; her siblings, Clifford Robinson, Jr. of Lowell, Michael Robinson of Rochester, NH, Paul Robinson of Dracut and Patricia Vemette of Florida; her brother-in-law, Henry “Red” McDowell of Westford; her close friend, Alice Papazian and her husband Paul; her friends Sheila and Ray Bourgeois; as well as many nieces and nephews, including Lee McDowell of Nashua, NH and Steve Robinson of Ashland.

She was the sister of the late John Robinson.

A private family visitation will be held on Tuesday morning, December 5th from 9:30 until 10:15 AM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. All are welcome to join for a committal service following at 11 AM in St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, 96 Riverneck Road, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Terry’s name to the Lowell General Cancer Care, Attn: Team Walk, 295 Varnum Avenue, Lowell, MA 01854.
