Theresa C. (Sirois) Gagnon, a Dracut resident for the past 21 years, died
Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the age of 95. She was the wife of the late Joseph H. Gagnon, to whom she was married for 59 years.
Theresa was born in Lawrence, MA on November 24, 1920, daughter of the late Flavius Sirois and Evangeline (Levesque) Sirois. She was also predeceased by her 9 siblings.
Theresa attended St. Anne Grammar School and Lawrence High School. She worked for the Pacific Mills in Lawrence before staying at home to raise her family. Throughout her life Theresa was very active with the church and school organizations, she was Brownie and Girl Scout Leader while her daughter was young. Theresa was a member of the Dracut Senior Citizens Club and the Lowell Senior Center. She was a member of St. Francis Church in Dracut.
Theresa and her husband enjoyed retirement life in Boynton Beach, Florida for 20 years before moving to Dracut. She enjoyed trips to the mountains with family and friends and day trips to the beach for a good fish dinner. Playing cards with friends was a weekly event.
Theresa is survived by her daughter, Anne-Marie Gagnon of Dracut. She was predeceased by her son Michael Gagnon who was killed during the Vietnam War
on September 11, 1974.
Theresa is also survived by her dear friends Bob and Sue Beaulieu and Bob and Maryellen Davis, along with their respective children who lovingly referred to her as 'grandma'.
