Theresa J. (Doucette) Arpin, beloved wife of the late Emile A. Arpin with whom she was married for 62 years at the time of his passing in 2010, passed away peacefully at Willow Manor on the morning of December 18, 2018 following a long period of declining health due to Alzheimer's Disease. She was 91.
Theresa was born in Lowell on March 6, 1927, a daughter of the late Francis and Mabel (Charette) Doucette.
During her younger years Theresa worked in her mother's specialty shop on West Sixth St and for many years at the former Lowell Shoe. Theresa then decided to stay at home to raise her growing family with Emile.
Theresa was a lifelong communicant of St. Louis de France Parish until it's closing and has been a communicant at St. Francis Parish for the past several years.
She loved music and attending concerts by La Chorale O'rion and the Spindle City Singers. Most of all for Theresa it was about family and she cherished the time spent with them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her family would like to extend their appreciation for the care given to Theresa during her stay at Willow Manor.

Survivors include her children, Lorraine Arpin, Doris and Don Pauling and their children, Jennifer and Ray Cloutier, Melissa and Michael Faneuf, Nicholas and Jillian Pauling, Donald and Kim Arpin and their children, Christina and Joe Barker, Todd and Kara Arpin, Raschelle, Ashley and Shane, Ann Arpin, Albert Arpin and his children Jason and Justin; thirteen great grandchildren; a sister Lillian Doucette; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Henry, Maurice, Yvonne, Leo, Alice, Anita, Armand, Gerard, Roland, Jeannette, and Albert.
Relatives and friends are invited to Theresa's Life Celebration at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street from 4 until 7 PM on Thursday. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Parish, 115 Wheeler Rd. Dracut. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Donations in Theresa's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd, Waltham 02452.
