Theresa M. April, wife of the late Joseph L. April died Tuesday after a brief illness while traveling in Rome, Italy.
Born in Lowell on April l, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Henri Bienvenu and Ida Plourd.
Theresa graduated from local schools. A longtime resident of Lowell's Centraville section, she was a communicant of the St. Louis de France and a member of St. Louis Guild Society and President of the PTA, active member of their Prayer Group and Troop 25 BSA women's auxiliary.
She worked at Pelon Corp in Lowell and Frelen Corp in N. Billerica.
Surviving her are two daughters; Gloria April of Lowell, Estelle and her husband Ervin Simandl of Casselberry, FL; two sons; Roger April of Lowell and Donald and his wife Ginger April of Dracut, two sisters; Edna and her husband A.J. Sternby of Canaan, NY, Marie Estright of Lowell, and brother of the late Joseph Ernest Bienvenu; grandchildren; Christine and Michael King, Robert Tillson, Brian Tillson and companion James Lockler, and Aric Tillson and wife Laura, three great grandchildren; Matthew King, Emily and Joseph Tillson and several nieces and nephews.
