Devoted and Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother & Sister
Teresa Marie (Santa) Charbonneau, 65, died Thursday, June 12, 2025 at her home in Dracut surrounded by her loving family after a courageous year of battling cancer.
She was born in Brighton on November 20, 1959 to the late Martin and Cecelia (McCarthy) Santa. She grew up in Waltham with her five siblings; Michael, Denise, Patricia, John and Elizabeth. She attended Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Elementary School and Waltham High School. She graduated from Wheelock College with a degree in Special Education.
Teresa married her husband, David in 1984. They shared 40 years of happy marriage together. After she was married, she was employed by Town Printing in North Andover until she had her first child. She was a stay at home mom for 15 years. Once her children were all in school, she was employed at JCPenney in Nashua, where she worked until her retirement in 2020.
She was a loving Gramie, spending time and playing with her grandchildren everyday. What was most important to Teresa was being with her family. Whether she was enjoying a good breakfast with her husband and children, taking a walk together on a nice sunny day or playing with her grandchildren, she was happiest when everyone was together.
Teresa loved taking walks and enjoying views of the land surrounding her home. She enjoyed gardening, growing tomatoes and tending to her beautiful flowers.
She enjoyed looking out on the water. She often visited her sisters’ houses near the ocean, where she would take walks, listen to sounds of the water and dine at restaurants with a scenic view. Over the years she enjoyed several “sister trips” on which she and her three sisters would go on overnight trips to a New England location. Her favorite place to travel was to Disney World with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling to the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
In addition to her husband, David, Teresa is survived by her children Kerry Silva and her husband, Daniel, Matthew Charbonneau and Anna Charbonneau and her fiancé, Paul Moody, all of Dracut and her two grandchildren, Leo and Francesca Silva.
Family and friends are invited to gather at 9:00 AM on Friday, June 20, 2025 at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell.
