Susan Landis

Susan (Fleming) Landis, age 74, died on March 31, 2025 at Lowell General Hospital. Born in Lowell on March 3, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Nellie (Walker) and Thomas Fleming.

In addition to taking care of her children and family, Susan worked for many years as a mental health worker for Tewksbury State Hospital.

Above all else, she found the most comfort in the presence of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she was lovingly known as “Gigi.” She loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles and traveling whenever she got the chance. She is survived by her best friend, Richard “Dick” Leonard, whom she loved traveling with. They often ventured off on cruises and anywhere else the world took them.

Susan is survived by her children, Kelly Michaud and her husband, Richard of Belmont, NH, Kimberly Landis and Dennis Landis both of Dracut; her grandchildren, Dennis, Timothy and his wife, Pichinda, Thomas, Derek and Skyla; her great-grandchildren, Bradyn, Gavin, Trent, Hazel, Zoey, Mia, Madelyn, Hadley, Harrison and Sophia; her siblings, Annie Rudy and her husband, Brian, Katherine Parent and her husband, Jimmy, Sharon Smith and Jimmy Fleming and his wife, Linda; as well as many other family and friends.

She was predeceased by her grandson, Devan and her siblings, Timothy Fleming, Leah Moran and Thomas Fleming.

Relatives and friends are invited to Susan’s Life Celebration on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 4 until 7 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. A prayer service will be held immediately following at 7 PM. Burial will be held privately.
