Stephen G. Tgibedes

Stephen (Stavros) G. Tgibedes, 84, a longtime resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died Thursday June 12, 2014 at his daughter's home in the presence of his loving family. He was the husband of the late Gertrude (Bouchard) Tgibedes.

Born in Dracut on February 3, 1930, he was a son of the late George and Despina "Dianne" (Perinitzi) Tgibedes.

Prior to retirement, he was employed by Raytheon as a millwright. Family was everything to Steve. He was the patriarch of a large family of 8 children, 23 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He cherished all the great times he had with them, including special afternoons spent fishing with his children, going for ice cream, and family celebrations. He was hard-working and exemplified what it meant to be a provider. Country music was something that Stephen loved and his children will always think of him when they hear it.

Stephen is survived by his eight loving children, Trudy Morris and her husband, Leon of Manchester, NH; Stephen Tgibedes and his wife, Donna of Dracut; Arthur Tgibedes and his wife, Patricia of Moultonborough, NH; Gail Ann Provencher of Dracut; James Tgibedes and his wife, Patricia of Lowell; Susan A. Brodeur and her husband, Greg of Essex Junction, VT; Cheryl L. Oakes and her husband, Jeffrey of Gansevoort, NY and Nancy McNitt and her husband, Dage of Ballston Lake, NY; his sister, Betty Blazonis of Dracut; 23 grandchildren, Amanda Morris Slocum and Molly Morris; Stephen and Daniel Tgibedes; Charlie, Anthony, Sarah Tgibedes Russell and Rebecca Tgibedes; Donald , David and Nicole Provencher; James, Mary and John Tgibedes; Paul and Laura Maguire; Andrew, Allan, William and Emily Oakes; Cassandra, Eric and Sydney McNitt; 7 great grandchildren, Shelbie, Sophia, Austin, Cody, Skylar, Zoe, and Aria; also several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Stella Beaudry, Helen Sedleski, Pauline Stone, Anna Vallante, Nicholas, Theodore and Peter Tgibedes.
