Dracut - Stephanie S. (Salwa) Walsh, 86, a resident of Dracut, died Friday, April 30, 2004 of natural causes in a local nursing home. She was the wife of the late Edward B. Walsh.
Born in Lowell on October 1, 1917, she was a daughter of the late John and Katherine (Gawlik) Salwa.
She had been an employee of the former Western Electric Company, now Lucent Technologies until her retirement. She had previously worked at C.B.S. as well as McGowen-Educator Biscuit and Lawrence Manufacturing.
She had lived in Dracut for more than 50 years and was a communicant of St. Michael Church in Lowell. She belonged to the C.W.A., the Telephone Pioneers Association,
the Dracut Senior Citizens and the A.A.R.P.
She is survived by a son, Richard E. Walsh of Dracut; a grandson, Richard E. Walsh Jr. of Dracut; a sister, Blanche Pelland of Lowell; many nieces, nephews, friends. She was the mother of the late veteran William David Walsh and sister of the late Joseph, Stanley and John Salwa, Mary Salwa, Pauline Pizzo, Helen Norton and Jennie Sawlan.
