LOWELL- Stanley A. White, a longtime Lowell resident died Sunday July 19, 2015, on his 65th birthday, following a courageous seven month battle against Pancreatic Cancer. He was the devoted husband of Patricia M.(Lavin) White of Lowell who survives him.
Born in Shirley, MA on July 19, 1950, he was a son of the late Henry and Katharine (Smith) White.
He was a talented pastry chef who spent the last 15 years working at La Boniche in Lowell.
An avid outdoorsman, Stanley enjoyed camping, snow shoeing and traveling. Prior to his illness, Stanley was riding his bicycle up to 200 miles weekly. He was an amateur HAM Radio Operator and held membership in the Billerica Amateur Radio Society (BARS.)
In addition to his wife, Stanley is survived by his children, Timothy B. White of Lowell, Andrew P. White and his wife, Sarah of Lowell, Colleen A. White and her spouse, Draea Dufresne of Auburn, ME. Stanley was anxiously anticipating the birth of his first grandchild in November. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, John F. Lavin, Jr. and Lucille Lavin of Haverhill, Anne and William Durant of Bradford, MA, Marie and Timothy Cusack of Methuen and Paul F. Lavin of Methuen; many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late James White.
