Stacey Lynn Coram, age 49, of Dracut, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 12, 2026 at Lowell General Hospital. Born in Lawrence on March 10, 1977, she was the daughter of Sharon (Cook) Coram and the late Frederick “Rick” Coram. She resided in Dracut her entire life, and was a 1995 graduate of Dracut High School.
She had a distinguished career spanning more than two decades in business operations, management, and personnel security in support of national defense. She began her career with L-3 Communications in 2005 as a Business Operations Analyst before advancing through roles in resource advising, executive management, and personnel security. Throughout her career, Stacey worked with several respected organizations supporting the United States Air Force at Hanscom Air Force Base, including Dynamics Research Corporation, Odyssey Systems Consulting Group, ManTech, and MIT Lincoln Laboratory, where she served as a Personnel Security professional from 2021 until her passing. Known for her dedication, leadership, and commitment to her work, Stacey made a lasting impact throughout her professional journey, touching many lives along the way and making lasting friendships that began in the workplace.
Stacey always was willing to lend a hand to her many beloved friends and family throughout her life. No matter whether she was asked to watch her neighbor’s dog, assist a coworker with a project, drive her children to hockey games or dance competitions, or engage in home renovations with her parents, Stacey always volunteered herself with a smile and took the lead in life. She will always be remembered for her radiant smile, her positive demeanor, and her ability to sing a song, whether you wanted to hear it or not. Stacey loved the beach and the tropics, and always longed for her next trip to somewhere warm and sunny. Her impact on her family, friends, and colleagues was far-reaching and positive. Stacey always offered a word of encouragement to those she loved, even in times of trouble. Stacey was also known for her love of animals, especially dogs, and she often visited animal shelters, especially the MSPCA’s Nevins Farm location in Methuen. Her loss will leave a profound impact on vast numbers of people and her presence will be impossible to replace.
Stacey is survived by her mother, Sharon Coram of Dracut; her children, Marielle Coram of Dracut and Nathan Coram of Somerville; her beloved dog, Hazel, who continues to reside with Sharon and Marielle; her brother, Scott Coram, of Normal, Illinois; her niece, Sophie Coram, of Iowa City, IA; her nephews, Max and Shea Coram of Normal, IL; her aunt, Donna Shaw of Newburyport; her uncle Tim Cook and his wife Michelle Winter of Andover; her uncle Jeff Cook of Methuen; her aunt Jean Haller and her husband Henry Haller of Pittsburgh, PA; and numerous beloved cousins and extended family.
