Simone R. St. Arnaud, 83, a lifelong Lowell resident, died peacefully Thursday September 22, 2011, with her loving family at her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry A. St. Arnaud whom she married on June 24, 1950.
Born in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Aline (Levesque) Drouin.
Simone spent more than thirty wonderful years as a second grade teacher at Ste. Jeanne d'Arc School until her retirement. She was a seasonal camper at Peaceful Acres in Hubbardston, MA. Camping was her favorite pastime and she cherished all of her camping friends. Knitting and crocheting was something she also loved to do.
Survivors include a son, Roger St. Arnaud and his wife, Marie Anne of Dracut; a daughter, Aline St. Arnaud of Lowell and her late companion, Victor Russo; a brother, Joseph "Leo" Drouin and his wife, Yvonne of Arizona; three sisters-in-law, Paulette St. Arnaud, Doris St. Arnaud and Betty Drouin all of Lowell; a grandson, Matthew St. Arnaud and his wife, Amy of Dracut; a great grandson, Joshua St. Arnaud of Dracut; a grandson, Thomas St. Arnaud and his fiancée Amanda of Dracut; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
She was the sister of the late Roger Drouin and Lillian Levasseur.
