OBITUARY
DRACUT - Simone Alvine (Moreau) Descoteaux, 85, died peacefully at her Dracut home on March 18, 2007. She was the wife of the late Thomas R. Descoteaux with whom she had been married for 59 years, and owner of Tom's Tailor Shop in Lowell.
Born in St. Jean Port, Canada on January 26, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Wilfrid Moreau and Rose (Jacques)(Moreau) Tambarino.
Mrs. Descoteaux worked in the Uxbridge Mills in Lowell as an invisible mender. She also was employed at ITT and BKC of Lawrence for over 20 years.
Mrs. Descoteaux, also known as "Ma", "Grandma" and "Great Grandma" was a wonderful woman who aimed to please everyone. She loved having her family and her granddogs, Bailey and Chloe at her warm, comfortable, wonderful home. She loved to cook and bake, especially for the Holidays. Christmas and Birthday celebrations seemed to make her so happy to be with so many family members that would be there.
She spent many years in So. Yarmouth on vacations with her husband Tom. In the 1960's, she and her husband traveled throughout Europe with friends.
She also had many wonderful summers with her family at Salisbury Beach.
She loved to play Bingo and spent many years at Bingo Halls with her friends. One of her favorite places to go with her son Ron and his wife Rose was Foxwoods Casino in CT where she had been for several days before she passed away. She also traveled several times to Atlantic City with them.
She was a generous woman who gave lots of time and devotion to her husband and family. She was so special to us and we will sadly miss her and always love her. She is at peace now with her maker and her beloved husband Tom. God Bless You Mom.
She is survived by three sons, Ronald T. Descoteaux and his wife Rosemarie of Lawrence, Kenneth H. Descoteaux and his wife Angela of Methuen and Gary Descoteaux and his partner Pamela Curran of Dracut; a brother, Patrick Moreau and his wife Doris of Dracut; her grandchildren, Renee' (Descoteaux) Orgeron and her husband Dane of NC, Thomas R.
