Simone Y. (Ouellette) "Mem" Belanger, beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Belanger, a resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, died on Friday May 30, 2014, surrounded by those whom she loved. She was 88.
Born in Dracut on July 18, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Gerard and Eugene (Pare) Ouellette.
Simone had worked at the former Stoddard's Bakery, and the former Zayre's, Stuarts and Ames department stores. She had enjoyed knitting and crocheting, but most of all she cherished the time spent with her family. Mem looked forward to the holidays at her daughter's house where she would be with all of her family. She also treasured the times her daughter was babysitting so she could stop by the house and play with the children.
Simone was a communicant of Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish.
Survivors include her children, Michelle Stanton and her husband John of Dracut, Raymond Belanger and his fiancée Sue of East Kingston, NH, Paul Belanger and his wife Donna of Windham, NH; her grandchildren, Steven Belanger and his wife Jessica of Wilmington, Paul Stanton and his fiancée Sara of Bedford, NH, Keith, Rachel, and Mark Belanger of Windham, NH; her great grandchildren, Ryan, Michael, and Joey Belanger of Wilmington; her sister in law Simonne Belanger of Lowell; two special friends, Terry Chartier and Connie Flynn; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was also the sister of the late Leo G. Ouellette, Donald Ouellette, and Pauline Cordeiro.
