Shirley A. Strombeck

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear, Shirley A. Strombeck. She went to her heavenly home peacefully, just the way she lived her life, on June 12, 2026.

Born in Mishawaka, Indiana on July 7, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Beulah L. (Chalifoux) and Royal A. Strombeck. She attended schools in Mishawaka and later moved to Massachusetts to help take care of her grandmother. Shirley worked at Saints Hospital for many years until her retirement.

She leaves her sisters, Marilyn Bollenbacher and Sharon Bragg; many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly; as well as many cousins, especially Clare Dowling, who was her closest friend and later caregiver and a dear friend, Ray, who she worked with for many years before retirement.

The family wishes to thank the special care she received from the staff at Northwood Nursing Home.

Relatives and friends are invited to Shirley’s visitation on Monday, June 22, 2026 from 10 until 10:45 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTIONS CHURCH, 3 Fayette Street, Lowell. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated immediately following at 11 AM in the church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury.
