Shawn M. O'Brien

Shawn M. O'Brien, age 22, a resident of Tyngsboro died unexpectedly Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at his home.

He was born in Lowell on February 6, 1996, and was the son of Michael S. and Roberta (Poirier) O'Brien. He received his education in Tyngsboro schools and a was graduate of Tyngsboro High School, class of 2014.

Shawn was employed by Eric Dove Construction in Tyngsboro, where he worked alongside his father and his friends Jake and Matty.

He loved life and spending time with his friends, especially going on the rope swing into the Merrimack after work or hanging out at the Dracut Town Beach.

Shawn also loved animals and they loved him right back.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister Amanda Langill of Lawrence; his niece and nephew, Avayah and Jayden Dubey; his paternal grandparents, Frank and Doris O'Brien of Dracut; his girlfriend, Abbey Gomes of Tyngsboro, many close friends; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was also the grandson of the late Nancy Poirier.

Shawn's family would like to thank Shawn's friends for holding vigils for him. It meant a lot to them.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Shawn's Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street in Lowell on Thursday, November 8th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Burial Will be private.
