Sandra J. (Donovan) Giles, a resident of Dracut and beloved wife of Leslie Giles, mother of Michael Giles, passed away with her family by her side at the Lowell General Hospital on Monday September 6th, 2021. She was 64.
Sandra was born in Methuen on October 18th, 1956, a daughter of the late Florence (Lefebvre) Donovan. Sandra and Leslie met at a dance club in Boston. Together, they built a warm and loving home in Dracut throughout 27 years of marriage.
Known as "Sandy" to friends, she enjoyed traveling with Leslie–imprinting countless memories of travels to Paris, Italy, Florida, and California. She enjoyed the company of friends, sharing delicious meals over spirited conversations.
She loved to organize parties, decorate, and entertain. Christmas was her favorite–and she cherished nothing more than spoiling children and family with thoughtful gifts.
She exhibited a classic flair for style and fashion throughout her life, which she parlayed into a passionately successful business endeavor.
Sandy was a wonderful mother who put her whole heart into caring for her children. She had an incredible sense of purpose in opening her home and heart to anyone in need.
Surviving Sandy is her husband Leslie and son Michael Giles; dear friends Phillip Smith and Kyle Clegg; a nephew and his family: John, Lissa Moon, and Colie LaCroix.
Sandra was the mother of the late Christopher Lawn and Nicholas Giles and sister of the late Mark Donovan, Janice LaCroix, and Daniel Donovan.
At Sandy's request, all funeral services were private. Donations can be made in her name to the Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics at https://cureangelman.org.
