Salvatore P. "Junie" Caraviello, Jr., passed away on May 8, 2019, following a period of declining health. He was 84.
Born in Boston on May 30, 1934, he was a son of the late Salvatore P. and Maria (Contrada) Caraviello.
Sal was raised in Medford and worked side by side with his father and brothers in their clothing company Salvy's Sportswear located in the garment district in Boston.
He later focused his attention on the transportation side of the business and operated SMC Trucking.
Surviving him are his four children; Renee Caraviello, Salvatore Caraviello both of Lowell, Danielle D'Amato, and Nicole Soucy both of Dracut. Six grandchildren; Sawyer, Quinn, Calvin, Harper, Emerson, and Adlai; two brothers, Richard Caraviello, and Armand Caraviello. He was the brother of the late Tina Guarino, Freddy Caraviello, Clara Falzone, and Frank "Smokey" Caraviello.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 AM in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St. Medford. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
