Ruth L. Thellen

Lowell - Ruth Lorraine (Geoffroy) Thellen, 84, died Saturday April 21, at her residence following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Joseph E. Thellen who died on August 5, 1995.
She was born in Lowell on May 8, 1922, a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Eva V. (Montbleau) Geoffroy.
Mrs. Thellen was a longtime communicant of the former St. Louis de France Parish and a member of the Legion of Mary. She held membership in the Centralville Senior Citizen Club, and the Golden Age Club.
Survivors include a daughter and son in law, Priscilla and Gerard Chandonnet of Lowell; two sons and daughters in law, Paul J. and Carol Thellen of Nashua, NH, Richard J. and Catherine Thellen of Litchfield, NH; seven grandchildren; Steven and Kevin Thellen, Alan and Robin Chandonnet, Scott Kristin and Stacy Thellen; a great grandson, Timothy Thellen; two great granddaughters, Makayla Jean Louis and Sara Thellen; a sister, Jacqueline Soucy, of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the later Benjamin Geoffroy and Beatrice Potvin.
