Ruth A. (Oldfield) O'Neill

LOWELL - Ruth Amelia (Oldfield) O'Neill, died Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, MA. She was born December 2, 1930, in Lowell, MA, to the late Lewis Oldfield and Lydia (Cheshire) Oldfield of England.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail L. Burnett, of Petaluma, CA; by three grandchildren, Michael Burnett of Seattle, WA, Emily Burnett, currently of Amarillo, TX, and Iain Burnett of Larkspur, CA. She is also survived by one great-grandson, Rhys Burnett.
Her husband, Francis E. (Red) O'Neill, and son, James L. O'Neill, preceded her in death.
Ruth was a long-time resident of Lowell and served as a nurse in the community. She graduated from Dracut High School and Lowell General Hospital Nursing program.
No memorial service will be held.
